Antonia Ede and Deema Abi-Chahine met at the London College of Fashion in 2007 whilst studying on the foundation course. Antonia went on to study costume, specialising in tailoring, and Deema studied menswear.

Bespoke shirt maker Deema Abi-Chahine put a deep collar stand on pale lilac and white shirts to frame Grant’s face and enable him to undo three buttons for Cleaver’s “lounge lizard” look. Grant, who knows his watches, suggested his character would wear a Panerai, because it’s an in-the-know brand.

Rowe also referred to the character’s original wardrobe design by having many of Grant’s original shirts recreated for the new film. ‘Hugh had loads of his shirts from the original Bridget Jones, and he lent them to me so that my shirt cutter, Deema Abi-Chahine, could recreate them,’ she says.
